How to Pass the Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification Test

Objective - This course utilizes the Project Management Institute's Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) as a
foundation for instruction and is augmented by other materials which allow the student an excellent
understanding of the PMP test and how to prepare for it. The program will progress through the Project
Management Framework, Processes and Knowledge Areas including Integration Management, Scope, Time,
Cost, Quality, Human Resources, Communications, Risk and Procurement Management.

Overview

We are Certified Project Managers that have successfully studied and passed the PMP test in addition to
teaching several PMP preparation classes and workshops. This experience combined with our extensive Project
Management background provides the student with a valuable and useful resource to prepare for the PMP
exam. This includes:
  • Project phases and the Project life cycle
  • Stakeholder analysis
  • Socio - economic and environmental influences
  • Process groups and interactions
  • Mapping of Project Management Processes
  • Project plan development, execution and change management
  • Scope planning, definition, verification and control
  • Activity definition, sequencing, estimating and scheduling

  • Organizational planning, staff acquisition and development
  • Communications planning, distribution, reporting and administrative closure
  • Risk management planning, identification, analysis, response planning and monitoring
  • Procurement planning, solicitation, source selection and contract administration

Learning Outcome: Participants will learn how to effective study for the PMP exam and determine what key elements are required to make efficient use of their study time. Extensive in class exercises and homework assignments will reinforce in-class discussions and reading materials.
