David Francis PMP is an internationally published author of 2 Project Management textbooks and has been a Project Manager and Business Analyst for over 20 years as a consultant, instructor and writer for the analysis, design, development and implementation of complex projects. He has assessed and documented business requirements, prioritized modifications, scheduled and coordinated resources while being responsible for the entire project lifecycle from inception to completion. Projects have included working with clients such as Dow Chemical, EDS, Cisco Systems, SBC, Clarian Healthcare and Simon Property Management. He has also assisted in the development of proposals for organizations such as the Homeland Security TASC force.

Mr. Francis is a Project Management Instructor at Indiana Institute of Technology and adjunct faculty at Indiana University – Purdue University at Indianapolis. He currently serves on the Project Management Institute (PMI) Central Indiana Chapter Board of Directors and has provided curriculum development and delivery of Project Management educational programs to over 10,000 students and for clients including Eli Lilly Company, Rolls Royce, Ameritech, Covance, Vifi and other Fortune 500 companies. As the Educational Director for the Project Management Institute – Central Indiana Chapter, he has been helped the organization to have a positive impact upon the local project management community.

Career highlights have included telecommunications, utilities, supervisory management, marketing, healthcare and customer service. David’s educational background includes an MBA from Butler University and a BA from Indiana University. Certifications include Project Management Professional Certification (PMP), IT Programming Competency Certification, Microsoft Office Certification, Project Management Certification (IUPUI) and Microsoft Project software Certification.
